Marvel Héroes. Peter Parker, el Espectacular Spiderman: Noches de Nueva York

A comienzos de los años ochenta, las aventuras de Spiderman asistieron a un renacer en todos los frentes. Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man, la que venía siendo considerada como una colección secundaria del trepamuros, asistió al retorno de Bill Mantlo, un guionista que ya había desarrollado muchas historias del personaje, pero que ahora se aproximaba a él desde una perspectiva más adulta y oscura. En sus primeros episodios, crearía a Capa y Puñal, dos implacables justicieros que respondían a la problemática social de una época en que las drogas carcomían las calles de Manhattan. Mantlo desarrollaría historias crudas y pegadas a la realidad, al tiempo que recuperaba a antiguos villanos del entorno arácnido, como Kraven, Electro, Kingpin, Mendell Stromm o Cabello de Plata, pero el apogeo de su trabajo llegaría con el regreso de la Gata Negra, a tiempo para una monumental saga en que el Doctor Octopus se alzaba hasta las primeras posiciones de los peores enemigos de Spiderman.
